Rödl & Partner Romania strengthens its team with three new partners

Rödl & Partner Romania appoints three new Partners across the areas of Legal, Audit and Accounting services, the new partners being part of a global Partners promotion round of 2022.

The new Partners who have been promoted to their new key roles are Ioan Radu - Co-Head of Legal, Catalin Ghita - Head of Audit and Liviu Plescan - Head of Accounting. All three are already part of the management team in Romania and have proven, over the years, deep technical knowledge as well as their leadership skills and commitment to first-class international client service. Beside these Partner promotions, Rödl & Partner Romania has promoted two Associate Partners and several Senior Associates this year.

Despite the complex geopolitical and economical context, and after the post-pandemic recovery period, Rödl & Partner continued to develop gradually, worldwide, as well as locally, in Romania. IOAN RADU

Attorney at law with 15 years of experience at Rödl & Partner. Since 2018, together with Petre Lungu, they are co-managing the Law office of Rödl & Partner in Romania. He provides comprehensive advisory to local and international companies in various areas related to law practice. He mainly focuses on corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, real estate and construction law, as well as greenfield investments, with particular emphasis on the following industries: retail, real estate, food, engineering and automotive.

CATALIN GHITA

Auditor, certified public accountant and tax consultant. Since 2012 working with Rödl & Partner, starting with 2020 he has been the Head of Audit of in Romania. He has more than 17 years of experience in delivering audit and financial reporting services to over 100 companies operating in all major sectors and industries. His core expertise is related to audit and review of financial statements prepared according to the Romanian accounting standards (RAS), German GAAP (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), financial due diligence, as well as other related services: agreed-upon procedures, compilation and translation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS, HGB, US-GAAP.

LIVIU PLESCAN

Certified public accountant, auditor and tax consultant. Since 2007 working with Rödl & Partner, starting with 2020 he has been the Head of Accounting in Romania. He has more than 17 years of experience in providing professional advisory services, accounting, tax compliance services and audit for over 200 companies operating in all major industries. He is specialized in financial reporting according to national and international requirements, financial and fiscal consulting for national and international companies, financial audit, reviews and related services for the financial statements and reporting packages according to Romanian GAAP, German GAAP (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
